The homeowners in Bellara were looking for an elegant, timeless window treatment that could elevate their interior aesthetic while standing up to Bribie Island's coastal humidity and strong sunlight. Standard timber shutters can warp or swell over time near salty air, and cheap imported shutters often yellow or crack under harsh UV. They specifically wanted high-quality, locally manufactured Australian internal blinds that offered long-term durability and fast turnarounds.
We custom-measured and installed Australian Made PVC Hinged Plantation Shutters across the home's key window openings.
100% Australian Made Quality: Locally manufactured using premium materials tested for harsh Australian climatic conditions. Supporting local manufacturing also guaranteed shorter lead times and strict quality control.
Coastal-Grade PVC Construction: High-density PVC (poly) is completely impervious to moisture and humidity. It delivers the luxurious look of painted timber without the risk of rotting, peeling, or swelling—making it ideal for every room, including wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
Hinged Panel Functionality: The shutters were installed into custom timber/PVC frames using durable metal hinges. The panels swing wide open for easy glass cleaning and maximum airflow, while tilting the louvres gives total precision over light control and nighttime privacy.
The Bellara property achieved a clean, bright, architectural look that instantly brightened up the home. The dense thermal properties of the PVC shutters also help insulate the windows against heat transfer, keeping the indoor living spaces noticeably cooler during hot coastal days.
Australian Made Standard: Superior local craftsmanship with reliable local warranties and faster installation times.
100% Moisture & Humidity Resistant: Won't warp, crack, fade, or split—perfect for Bribie Island's coastal environment.
Exceptional Thermal Insulation: Solid PVC louvres help block summer heat and lock in cool air to improve home energy efficiency.
Effortless Privacy & Light Control: Tilt blades to direct ambient daylight without giving passersby a direct view inside.
Hassle-Free Maintenance: Smooth, non-porous finish wipes clean easily with a damp cloth.
